Country Sweet Chicken

Every once in a while, I need a little bar food. Since I spent a good deal of my 20s and 30s in a bar, I consider myself a bar food snob. And pre-packaged, frozen chicken bits are not my thang. So homemade, breaded thighs it is. I use a little cornmeal in the breading for extra crispyness and my favorite hot sauce from Country Sweet Wings and Ribs in Rochester NY. The sauce is an amazing take on a hot, spicy vinegar sauce (like Frank’s) that’s also sweet. It’s sold at the local Wegman’s. Get the hot version! Photo: Becca Henry.
